:D COOL BUILDING

I was researching on the layer out of bubbles to strengthen my cells designs and
found this on the web and i thought it was amazing!!!!

GET RIGHT!

I have thought about my artwork more recently and here is my summary

1) I decided to colour the background BLACK (like the image below this blog entry)
since the red background would ruin the 3D look of the image as well as distracting
    the artwork to stand out.

2) The design of the cells would remain BUT i will include few design into them
(like the image below this blog entry where cells are linked together like a tree branch)

I am adding this design because i thought the image was so successful in creating a positive
and beautiful feels to the artwork.

AND doesn't the image looks like a close up of a BOUQUET?

Additional Idea

White blood cells, SEM

P248/0249 Rights Managed
Caption: White blood cells. Colour scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of T-lymphocyte white blood cells or T-cells in the cortex of the thymus gland. T- cells are involved in tracking down and destroying invading organisms, such as viruses and bacteria. They are produced in the bone marrow but complete their development in the thymus. The thymus is situated at the base of the neck. Magnification: x1250 at 6x7cm size.

I LOVED THIS PHOTO
SEVERAL REASONS FOR THIS
1) IT TRACES THE WHITE CELLS MOVEMENT
2) IT COMPLETES MY INTENSION OF MAKING A BEAUTY OUT OF THE TRAGEDY
3) GIVES A IMAGERY OF FLOWER AND TREE WHICH SYMBOLISES NATURE's BEAUTY

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESS

My BOW has both strength and weakness and i have listed these below.
SO FAR...

STRENGTH:
- embodied with a personal narrative
- very strong ORIGINALITY; since every designs are created or re-created by me
- contains elements of POSTMODERN such as irony, satire etc
- has an element of a surprise; a REVERSAL which directly impact the audience
- put a comment on the medical based society, but targeting overall audience
- Simplistic Design; a neatness of the design; the clean tone
WEAKNESS:
- (maybe) Repetitions and Simplistic designs; simple design might not attract few people
- may require more insights (information) for the audience to understand the artwork

MDF board Experiment

After a short experiment/ POSCA Paint Pen on MDF board

Few problems occurred:

- takes too long to dry which would affect the progress of developing the artwork
- due to that, colours would easily blend together
- when paint is dried, it would sometimes create little cracks, destroying the tone
(if confused, take a look at the image below)
- may require multiple coats over the paint as the board would not absorb the colours properly

Material CHANGE

I have decided to REPLACE the canvas with wooden MDF boards.

The reasons include the following:

- improves the tone (colours)
- improves the neatness and details of design
- maximises the durability
- solves the hardness of applying colours when done on canvas

RETHOUGHTS and CHANGES

Audience may find it (my BOW) not entertain, not interested, therefore it requires more meaningful elements to attract audience. The design of the artwork will stay the same. To attract people, the artwork need a surprise. A REVERSAL. Since my artwork contains an element of irony (where i represent a thing as the opposite of what it actually is), i can develop it further into a bigger context.

The current idea is the following:

1) The image shows a movement(flow) of cells INSIDE the blood vessel.
2) The image represents and records the deteriorating condition of human where white cells invade
    the red cells.
3) I am intending to draw this image WITHOUT communicating the fact that the images captures
the disaster (the invasion of white cells) however i am intending to represent the image in an
attractive bright design through wide choices of colours.
4) The truth would reveal through the title (given name) of the artwork 'invasion' creating an
    amusement to audience.

The possible changes would include following:

1) My artwork require more interests therefore i ended up adding an element of surprise, a reversal.
So, canvas #1 would be the exact same as the above. (the current idea)
2) However i am adding an extra canvas which is the change. The image it contains would connect
to the canvas #1 and also contains similar idea but the OPPOSITE. This means, instead of
representing the deteriorating condition in the bright design which is done on the canvas #1, I will
represent the recovering condition in dull and dark design on the canvas #2. (if confused please look
at the next upload that gives a visual sight of the artwork.)
